⚔️ WarCitadel — Mists of Pandaria 5.4.8

Official Server Rules & Regulations

Welcome to WarCitadel MoP 5.4.8.

Our goal is to provide a fair, stable, competitive, and enjoyable environment for every player. By creating an account, logging into the server, or participating in the WarCitadel community, you agree to follow these Rules & Regulations.

Not knowing the rules is not an excuse for violating them.

1. General Player Conduct

All players must treat other players and staff members with reasonable respect.

The following behavior is prohibited:

  • Harassment or targeted bullying
  • Serious threats against another player or staff member
  • Hate speech or discriminatory slurs
  • Excessive personal attacks
  • Impersonating a GM, Administrator, or another player
  • Repeatedly disrupting the community intentionally
  • Sharing another person’s private or personal information without permission

Friendly competition, PvP arguments, and normal trash talk are allowed within reasonable limits. Staff may intervene when behavior becomes excessive or targeted.

2. Cheating & Third-Party Programs

Any program or modification that gives an unfair gameplay advantage is prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Speed hacks
  • Fly hacks
  • Teleport hacks
  • Wall/clipping hacks
  • Damage hacks
  • Cooldown manipulation
  • Packet manipulation
  • Unauthorized automation
  • Combat bots
  • Farming bots
  • Scripts designed to automate gameplay
  • Any software designed to bypass WarCitadel’s anti-cheat systems

Using, distributing, advertising, or helping another player use cheats may result in a permanent account ban.

3. Bug & Exploit Abuse

Finding a bug is not a violation.

Knowingly abusing a bug for personal advantage is a violation.

Players must not intentionally exploit bugs involving:

  • Boss encounters
  • Dungeons or raids
  • Battlegrounds
  • Arenas
  • Quests
  • Reputation
  • Achievements
  • Honor
  • Conquest Points
  • Valor Points
  • Justice Points
  • Items
  • Gold
  • Duplication
  • Mail
  • Auction House
  • Vendors
  • Character services
  • Website systems
  • Donate Points (DP)
  • Vote Points (VP)

If you discover a serious exploit, stop using it and report it privately to WarCitadel staff.

Do not publicly explain how to reproduce a serious exploit.

Rewards, currency, items, achievements, or characters obtained through exploitation may be removed.

4. Duplication / Economy Exploits

Duplicating any item, currency, or resource is strictly prohibited.

This includes duplication of:

  • Gold
  • Items
  • Materials
  • Mounts
  • Currency
  • DP/VP
  • BoE equipment
  • Raid rewards
  • PvP rewards

Players who knowingly receive, store, transfer, sell, or distribute duplicated assets may also be punished.

Staff reserves the right to remove illegitimate assets from the server economy.

5. PvP Rules

PvP is part of World of Warcraft and players should expect normal PvP activity.

Allowed:

  • World PvP
  • Battleground PvP
  • Arena PvP
  • Killing enemy-faction players
  • Fighting over farming locations
  • Normal competitive gameplay

Not allowed:

  • Win trading
  • Arena rating manipulation
  • Battleground farming through coordinated abuse
  • AFK honor farming
  • Intentionally exploiting battleground mechanics
  • Using multiple accounts to manipulate PvP rewards
  • Exploiting terrain or unreachable locations to gain an unfair advantage
  • Arranging fake matches for rating, achievements, Honor, or Conquest

PvP rewards obtained through manipulation may be removed.

6. Arena Rules

Arena competition must remain legitimate.

The following are prohibited:

  • Win trading
  • Rating selling through manipulated matches
  • Intentionally losing matches to boost another team
  • Queue manipulation
  • Exploiting matchmaking
  • Using hacks or prohibited automation
  • Repeatedly arranging matches specifically to farm rating

Suspicious arena activity may be investigated using server logs.

Arena rating, achievements, titles, mounts, or rewards may be reset when manipulation is confirmed.

7. Battleground Rules

Players participating in Battlegrounds are expected to participate normally.

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • AFK farming
  • Botting
  • Honor farming through arranged kills
  • Deliberately manipulating the opposing faction
  • Exploiting inaccessible terrain
  • Intentionally preventing a Battleground from completing
  • Coordinating fake matches for rewards

Cross-faction systems or other server-supported features are allowed when they are functioning as intended.

8. PvE / Dungeon / Raid Rules

Players must not intentionally exploit PvE encounters.

Examples include:

  • Pulling bosses into locations where they cannot attack
  • Intentionally bypassing required encounter mechanics through bugs
  • Repeatedly resetting encounters to duplicate loot
  • Exploiting doors or instance boundaries
  • Using terrain bugs to make bosses unable to attack
  • Exploiting a bug to obtain repeated quest or raid rewards

If an encounter becomes bugged, players should reset the encounter when possible and report the problem.

A naturally occurring scripting problem does not automatically make the group guilty of exploiting. Staff will consider whether the behavior was intentional.

9. Loot Rules

Scamming players through deliberately deceptive loot arrangements may result in staff action when sufficient evidence exists.

Before beginning a raid, players are encouraged to clearly establish loot rules.

Staff may decline to intervene in ordinary loot disagreements where there is insufficient evidence of an intentional scam.

10. Gold & Trading

Normal player-to-player trading is allowed.

Players are responsible for verifying:

  • Item
  • Quantity
  • Gold amount
  • Character name

before accepting a trade.

Attempts to scam players through impersonation, deliberate deception, or manipulation may result in disciplinary action.

Transactions involving confirmed exploits or duplicated assets may be reversed.

11. Real-Money Trading (RMT)

Unless specifically authorized by WarCitadel administration, players may not privately sell WarCitadel accounts, characters, gold, items, DP, VP, or services for real-world money.

Advertising unauthorized RMT services is prohibited.

Official WarCitadel donations, services, or store systems are separate from unauthorized player-to-player RMT.

12. Account Security

Your account security is primarily your responsibility.

Players should:

  • Use a unique password
  • Never give their password to another player
  • Never give account credentials to someone claiming to be staff
  • Avoid suspicious programs and websites

WarCitadel staff will never need your account password to provide normal support.

If you voluntarily share your account, staff assistance with resulting losses may be limited.

13. Account Sharing

Account sharing is strongly discouraged.

The account owner remains responsible for activity performed through the account.

Saying:

“My friend used my account.”

does not automatically remove responsibility for a rule violation.

Staff may consider account-compromise evidence during an investigation.

14. Character Names & Guild Names

Names must not be used to:

  • Impersonate WarCitadel staff
  • Intentionally impersonate another player for fraud
  • Advertise cheats or illegal services
  • Reveal another person’s private information
  • Directly harass another player

Staff may require or force a rename when necessary.

15. Chat & Spam

The following may result in mute or other disciplinary action:

  • Excessive spam
  • Repeated advertisements
  • Flooding chat
  • Excessive abusive language
  • Harassment
  • Malicious links
  • Scam advertisements
  • Cheat advertisements
  • RMT advertisements

Players should use appropriate channels whenever possible.

16. Advertising Other Servers

Advertising competing private servers through WarCitadel services is prohibited.

This includes advertisements through:

  • Public chat
  • Whisper
  • Mail
  • Guild recruitment
  • Character names
  • Forum posts
  • Website comments
  • Discord/community channels operated by WarCitadel

Normal private conversations that are not intended as advertisements may be treated differently at staff discretion.

17. Staff Impersonation

Pretending to be a:

  • Game Master
  • Moderator
  • Developer
  • Administrator
  • Owner
  • WarCitadel representative

for the purpose of misleading another player is strictly prohibited.

Staff members will never ask for your password.

18. Scamming

Intentional scams are prohibited.

Examples include:

  • Fake GM messages
  • Fake donation offers
  • Fake DP/VP sales
  • Misrepresenting an item during an arranged transaction
  • Impersonating another player
  • Phishing for account credentials

Players should provide screenshots and relevant information when reporting a scam.

Server-side logs will generally carry greater evidentiary weight than screenshots when the two conflict.

19. False Reports

Do not intentionally submit fabricated reports against another player.

Submitting altered screenshots, intentionally misleading evidence, or repeatedly filing malicious reports may result in punishment.

A report that cannot be proven is not automatically considered a false report. Staff must have reason to believe the report was intentionally fabricated.

20. GM & Staff Interaction

Players must cooperate reasonably during legitimate staff investigations.

Do not:

  • Intentionally provide false information
  • Impersonate staff
  • Attempt to bribe staff
  • Threaten staff members
  • Spam GM tickets
  • Repeatedly open duplicate tickets
  • Attempt to evade an active punishment

Disagreeing with a GM decision is allowed. Harassment or abuse is not.

21. GM / Administrator Abuse

WarCitadel staff members are also subject to rules.

Staff must not use administrative powers to unfairly benefit:

  • Their own characters
  • Friends
  • Guild members
  • Arena partners
  • Raid groups

Unauthorized creation or distribution of items, currency, achievements, ratings, or other advantages may result in removal from staff.

Serious staff misconduct should be reported directly to senior administration with evidence.

22. Ban & Mute Evasion

Attempting to bypass an active punishment may result in increased penalties.

Examples include:

  • Creating another account to continue harassment
  • Using another character to bypass a mute
  • Using another account to continue prohibited activity
  • Helping a banned player evade restrictions

23. Reporting Players

When reporting a violation, provide as much evidence as possible:

Character Name:
Realm:
Date/Time:
Location:
Violation:
Description:
Screenshot/Video:

Do not intentionally provoke someone into violating a rule merely to create evidence against them.

Serious exploits should be reported privately.

⚖️ Punishment System

Punishments depend on the severity, intent, evidence, previous violations, and impact on the server.

Possible actions include:

Warning → Mute → Temporary Suspension → Reward/Item Removal → Character Reset → Permanent Account Ban

Severe violations may skip lower punishment levels.

Examples that may justify immediate severe action include:

  • Confirmed hacking
  • Serious duplication
  • Large-scale economy exploitation
  • Credential theft/phishing
  • Serious threats
  • Major exploit abuse
  • Repeated ban evasion

WarCitadel is not required to issue a warning before taking action against a serious violation.

🔍 Investigation & Evidence

WarCitadel staff may use available server records when investigating violations, including:

  • Login records
  • Character activity
  • Trades
  • Mail transactions
  • Auction activity
  • Currency changes
  • Item ownership
  • PvP activity
  • Arena activity
  • Relevant website transactions

Screenshots and videos may also be considered.

Punishment should be based on available evidence rather than accusations alone.

🔄 Appeals

Players may respectfully appeal a punishment through the official support system.

An appeal should include:

  • Account/character information
  • Approximate punishment date
  • Reason given for punishment
  • Explanation of why the player believes the decision should be reviewed
  • Relevant evidence

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a punishment will be removed.

Repeatedly spamming appeals may result in the appeal being closed.

📜 Final Policy

WarCitadel Administration reserves the right to investigate activity that threatens server stability, security, fairness, or the player community even when a specific situation is not explicitly described above.

Rules may be updated when new exploits, systems, or gameplay issues are discovered.

Any enforcement decision should consider the available evidence, severity of the violation, previous history, and impact on the community.

By playing WarCitadel MoP 5.4.8, you acknowledge and agree to follow these Rules & Regulations.
